COMFORT FOR EVERY CYCLE
Because access to period care should never be a luxury.
At Loeah, we believe every woman and girl should be able to experience her period with comfort, confidence and dignity.
But for many girls, that is still far from reality.
Both close to home and across the world, there are girls who, month after month, have to worry about something no one should have to worry about: will I have the period products I need when my period starts?
Not having access to suitable period products is about so much more than discomfort. It can mean missing school. Having to use unhygienic alternatives. Avoiding sports. Feeling ashamed or insecure, or worrying about leaks. It can mean that, every month, a girl’s period determines what she can and cannot do.
We want to help change that.
That’s why we partner with organisations that support girls and young women who don’t have reliable access to the period products they need.
In the Netherlands, we do this together with Kinderhulp. In Ghana, we work with NB Future Generation Builders Ghana.
Two different places. Two different organisations. But one shared goal: to give as many girls as possible the freedom to simply be girls, even when they’re on their period.

LOEAH X NB FUTURE GENERATION BUILDERS GHANA
Period poverty knows no borders.
We want to use Loeah to support girls in places where access to period products and reliable menstrual health education is even less of a given.
With one of our founders being half Ghanaian, this mission also has a personal connection to Ghana.
There, we work with NB Future Generation Builders Ghana (NB FGBG), a registered non-profit organisation that has been committed to the health, development and future of young people since 2019, with a particular
focus on girls.
The organisation was founded by Naomi Awuni, based on the belief that access to the right information, guidance and period care can play an important role in a young girl’s confidence and future opportunities.
It’s a mission that closely aligns with our own.
More than just period products...
NB Future Generation Builders Ghana visits schools and communities to give girls not only products, but knowledge too.
Since its foundation, the organisation has visited more than 30 schools and 10 underserved communities, reaching over 5,000 girls with education on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health and personal wellbeing.
The organisation also distributes free period products to girls and women in schools and communities where access to them is not a given.
Because a period product can help today. Knowledge about your body stays with you for life.
That’s also why founder Naomi Awuni created My Period Guide: an accessible guide designed to prepare girls for their first period, while helping those who already menstruate to better understand their bodies, practise good hygiene and navigate their cycles with greater confidence.
FROM LOEAH TO GHANA
Together with NB Future Generation Builders Ghana, we want to make period underwear available to girls who otherwise may not have access to it.
Reusable period underwear can provide long-term support, not just for one period, but cycle after cycle.
Through NB FGBG’s local network, the underwear can reach girls and young women in schools and communities where it is needed most.
At the same time, NB FGBG can continue the work they have been building for years: educating and supporting girls, and showing them that their periods are nothing to be ashamed of.
Comfort builds confidence. Knowledge creates strength. And every girl deserves both.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You contribute. We do the rest.
Through our dedicated donation page (this page), you can contribute £6.50 towards a Loeah period underwear brief for a girl or young woman who needs it.
You contribute £6.50. We cover the remaining cost. One of our partner organisations makes sure the underwear reaches a girl who truly needs it.
A small contribution can become something much bigger.
One pair of period underwear can mean not having to worry about buying pads that month. Not being afraid of leaking during a school day. Not having to stay home simply because you’re on your period.
But above all, it can provide comfort, confidence and dignity at a time when every girl deserves exactly that.

Together against period poverty in the Netherlands.
Period poverty may seem like something that mostly happens far away. But even in the Netherlands, there are girls for whom pads, tampons or reliable period underwear are simply too expensive.
Around 1 in 10 girls in the Netherlands experiences period poverty. For some, this means having to improvise with unsuitable alternatives. For others, it means missing school, sports or social activities because they’re afraid of leaking.
A period should never be the reason a girl has to miss out.
That’s why we work with Kinderhulp, an organisation supporting children and young people aged 0 to 21 who are growing up in poverty in the Netherlands.
Kinderhulp steps in when something that may seem completely normal to many children simply isn’t financially possible at home. From a bicycle or a birthday present to essential period products.
And now, together, we can help make a difference too.

We know we can’t solve period poverty on our own.
But we do believe that every girl we reach matters.
Every school day that doesn’t have to be missed. Every moment a girl doesn’t have to worry about leaking. Every first period that begins with knowledge instead of shame. Every cycle in which someone can feel a little freer and more confident.
That’s why we want to keep expanding our impact, from the Netherlands to Ghana and, in the future, to even more girls and women who could benefit from our support.
